I’m on a roll! :lol
I have created a new smiley.
This one is supposed to be a sort of dancing smiley in a club (old farts like me call it a “disco”):

Yes, finally… After a few hours of trial and error and then finding a really helpful tutorial, I did it. I created my first animated smiley.
It’s nothing fancy. In fact, it’s not very good at all :lol but it’s a start.
So, gentle reader, here it is:
As you may or may not see, it bears some resemblance to this smiley:
And yes, it was a sort of inspiration, but that’s all. I just wanted to make one with sun glasses
The new Robbie Williams is almost out - reason enough to take a look. By chance I got my hands on a copy of the songs and I have to say, this is SERIOUSLY DIFFERENT!!
Well, let’s start…
I’ve downloaded the latest Firefox 2.0 RC1 and I have to say, I’m impressed.
At first sight one might feel disapointed because it doesn’t look much different from Firefox 1.5.x - after all, this isn’t version 1.6, it’s 2.0. It’s supposed to be a big step, right?
And at first sight the only thing you can see that’s new is the slightly better looking standard Skin.
But don’t let that foolya!
There’s a lot of little things in Firefox that needed to be addressed and most of the ones I can think of have been.
For example, one thing that always bugged me as a web developer was that when you want to search a page you are looking at for a certain word or string, you need to watch out… Because if it’s contained in a textarea or text form field, Firefox won’t find it just like that. The only thing you can do is click the highlight-button and hope to catch the darn thing yourself.
Not so anymore. Now when you want to search a page, you Firefox searches the WHOLE page, just like it should.
First of all, close the Messenger.
Click start and then click “Run…”
copy and paste this:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Hit the ENTER key and off you go. Windows will tell you some balony about how some programs need the Messenger, and so on, just ignore it and click ok.
That’s it.
PS:
If you use Outlook Express, this will also make it start a lot faster than before.
